This cancelling out of the soundwave can result in some very strange sound effects and is&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Phase<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Flanging is an audio effect produced by duplicating an input signal, <a href=\"https:\/\/ears2.eu\/pt-pt\/encyclopediaptpt\/delay\" target=\"_self\" title=\"A process in which a given input signal is looped and repeated, but with some period of time (delay) between the original sound and the repeated sound.&nbsp; This can be used for a variety of effects including, for example, the creation of the sensation of spatial depth. The higher the frequency of a sound the higher it sounds in pitch. Frequency is measured in Hertz (Hz).
