Our website
Our website aims to support the EU ‘Composing with Sounds: Widening Electroacoustic Music Participation’ project which is an international collaboration bringing together high-level professional cultural and educational institutions, schools and musicians of all ages.
The website provides access to the Compose with Sounds software which enables users to explore, create and share their own electroacoustic compositions. The main objectives of this website are to:
- provide access to the sound management tool, Compose with Sounds, containing editing, processing and mixing functions to enable users to compose their own original musical works and users will be the owners of any and all works they create via the website;
- support collaboration between groups of professional composers and amateur composers all working on compositions with the same sound management tools, encouraging the composition of original works and the ability for users to learn the process of composition; and
- host concert materials arising from the work of young people participating in events supported by the projects series, making this commissioned content accessible and downloadable online.
This website is a not a transactional website and consequently is non-commercial and is principally for educational and entertainment purposes only.
The information on our website is intended to be helpful to composers and to those with an interest in composition and electro acoustic music who may be encouraged to learn more about compositing. Feedback from website users is important to us and any comments you have on the website and its features.
